Harmony Health, PLLC Therapeutic Services [Harmony Health] is a behavioral health practice created to improve the mental health and overall well-being of those served. Harmony Health, PLLC Therapeutic Services’ mission is “To improve the quality of life for families through a holistic approach in mental and emotional wellness”.

Harmony Health Therapeutic Services’ philosophy is to recognize the client and natural supports as the experts. Our clinicians are professionals and serve as a guide and resource for the family as we partner on your healing journey. Harmony Health is both trauma-informed and healing centered. We believe in advocating for those we serve. Our perception is that families are not broken but are missing pieces to their puzzle. Harmony Health’s goal is to help them put the pieces back together again.  Harmony Health’s staff is trained in the agency’s practices, philosophy, confidentiality policies and practices. At Harmony Health, the culture is client centered. Our focus is on psycho-education as well as treatment, support and connecting to needed resources.

Isis "Momma Bey" Bey, LCSW, TFCBT, CCTP II

A Master’s Level Clinician, Ms. Bey completed her education at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in Charlotte, NC. She has over 15 years experience working with children and families. Ms. Bey is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with the North Carolina Social Work Licensing Board. She is Nationally Certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy [TF-CBT] and is Nationally Certified as a Complex Trauma Professional. Ms. Bey is currently an Adjunct Professor at multiples Universities teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses such as Trauma, Group Therapy, Interpersonal Skills and more. She also provides Clinical Supervision, is an Implicit Bias Trainer and provides training and consultation in developing trauma-informed programs, clinical spaces, professional development and various topics in mental health and racial disparities.

Her experience in the clinical field includes but is not limited to: Crisis Intervention, Assessment, Individual, Group and Couple’s Counseling. She also has practice experience using Mindfulness, Spiritual Social Work, Drumming and Dance as a therapeutic tool. Additional social work experience includes advocacy, systematic disparities, child welfare, parent education, gang intervention, human trafficking, and interpersonal violence. 

 Ms. Bey offers treatment through an Eclectic Humanistic Approach. This is a person-centered, strength’s based approach. The belief is that the client is the expert of his or her life experiences. Ms. Bey is a guide and coach in the treatment process, offering tools, resources, skills and techniques to assist the individual in the healing process. Ms. Bey uses treatment modalities that are trauma informed and evidenced based. Ms. Bey loves spending time with her family and traveling.


Jasmine "Jazzy Poo, Lil Bit" Scott, LCMHC, LCASA

Ms. Scott is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist Associate. She completed her education at Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH. Ms. Scott utilizes an Eclectic Humanistic Approach which is a person-centered, strength’s based approach. She has over 8 years of experience in the Mental Health field working with children, adolescents, adults and families in Community, School Based, Girls Residential Treatment Centers and Outpatient Therapy settings. Ms. Scott also has experience working clients who are survivors of Human Trafficking, trauma, abuse and domestic violence. Her experience in the clinical field includes but is not limited to Assessment, Crisis Intervention and de-escalation, Case management Trauma Informed Care, Individual, Group, Family and Substance Abuse Counseling. She also has experie,nce utilizing Mindfulness and Guided Meditation. Ms. Scott loves working with children, adolescents and adults and especially enjoys helping client’s build their self-esteem, love for self and using interventions to empower clients. She works often with Mood Disorders, Life Transitions, Depression, Anxiety and Women's Issues.


Sharisse "Reesie Cup" McGill, LCSWA

Mrs. McGill is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate.  She completed her Master’s of Social Work at Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, TX.  Mrs. McGill utilizes an eclectic, humanistic approach which aligns with the Harmony Health’s philosophy recognizing the client and natural supports as the expert.  Her experience includes working with women, children, and families encountering trauma, domestic violence, and anxiety related conditions.  Her experience includes assessment, treatment planning, individual therapy, crisis intervention, case management, and trauma informed care. She will soon be certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

Mrs. McGill has a strong passion for guiding others through healing process.  She has a natural charm that instantly allows others to feel “safe”.  She loves spending time with her large family, baking, reading, and any activity that allows her to bask in nature’s glory with her bare feet on the earth. 


Monayzia "Mo" Taylor, LCSWA

Community Connections Program Coordinator

Out-Patient Therapist

Mo graduated with her Masters in Social Work from Johnson C. Smith University. She serves Harmony Health in acquiring quality counseling interns to serve our Community Connections Program as well as establishing and maintaining Community Partnerships and Initiatives. Mo serves children and young adults as an outpatient therapist. She has experience in working with youth and young adults from ages 5 to 30. Ms. Taylor’s experience includes community outreach, intake, assessments, case management, individual and group therapy. Ms. Taylor’s integrated theoretical approaches are Person-Center and Strength Based. She will soon be certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Ms. Taylor believes that no individual is the same therefore they should not be treated like so; rather each person has their own strengths that can be used to guide them towards great health and well-being. Ms. Taylor enjoys reading, music and relaxing when she’s not working.


Ty'kei Spinks, LCMHCA

Out-Patient Therapist


A Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate, Ty’Kei graduated in with his Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate. He has over 4 years working with individuals and families. His experience includes: Mental Health, Domestic Violence, Case Management, Advocacy, Gender Equality, Sexual Trauma Support, and Mentoring. His clinical experience includes: Assessment, Crisis Intervention, Individual Therapy, Group Therapy, working with children and young adults.
Ty’Kei uses a Person-Centered approach that incorporates strength building, increasing self-awareness, promoting self-enlightenment, and building healthy relationships. He believes that each individual is uniquely different. He is an advocate for mental health as well as racial equality, gender equality, and eliminating the mental health stigmas in the Black community. Ty'Kei enjoys addressing these community issues through his weekly Podcast.


Obasi Amare, LCMHCA

Out-Patient Therapist

Obasi is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate and a Nationally Certified Counselor. He received his Bachelor's degree in Sociology at North Carolina A&T State University and received his Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at UNC Pembroke. Obasi utilizes an Eclectic African centered humanistic approach which involves placing emphasis on harmony, balance, and authenticity. He has over 5 years of experience in the Mental Health field working with children, adolescents, and families in Outpatient and School Based settings. His experience in the Mental Health field includes individual, group, family and substance abuse counseling. Obasi also has experience using Mindfulness and Guided Meditation for fostering internal peace. He enjoys working with adolescents and adults in facilitating an enhanced sense of self-efficacy. He works with Stress Management, Depression, Culture Specific issues, Oppositional Defiance Disorder, and Anxiety.


Unique Simpson, LCSWA

Out-Patient Therapist


Unique is an Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate. She obtained her MSW at Johnson C. Smith University. Unique has experience working with children, young adults, and older adults between the ages of 5 and 60. She has worked with people who are homeless. Unique has experience in assessments, individual counseling, adotoption, resource development and case management. Her theoretical approaches include Person In Environment, Strengths Based, and Cognitive Behavioral Theory. She will soon be certified in Integrative Treatment of Complex Trauma for Adolescents (ITCT-A) therapy. She believes many have experienced some level of trauma that creates a domino effect which impacts logical thinking and decision making skills. Unique enjoys helping those find the strength and power within themselves to attain full capacity within their growth and success in their own lives. She believes all are born with the ability to be leaders in life; yet, it’s important to learn to be effective and positive leaders within self first, to make an impact in the world. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, and being out in nature.


Sedonia Dunkley, LCMHCA

Out- Patient Therapist, Certified Wilderness Therapist


Sedonia is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate. She earned a bachelor's in Child Development and Family Studies from North Carolina Agriculture & Technical State University and her Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a Concentration in Wilderness Therapy at Naropa University in Boulder, CO. Ms. Dunkley practices with a diverse range of techniques drawing from an humanistic approach. Sedonia embraces socio-political, cultural, and economic contexts as crucial points in understanding community resilience and individual wellbeing.

She has 4 years of experience in the Mental Health field working with children, adolescents, adults, families & LGBTQIIA+ in community, group home, and outpatient therapy settings. Ms. Dunkley has experience working with trauma, grief, adverse childhood experiences, mood disorders, life transitions, depression, and anxiety. Ms. Dunkley loves helping clients navigate the discovery of self and life. Sedonia also has experience utilizing mindfulness, guided meditation, nature based therapy & transformative justice and leading workshops in diversity & inclusion.

She enjoys traveling, doing anything in Nature and spending time with family.

She will be accepting clients as of Mid May.

Aniya “Ny Ny” Smith, LCSWA

Out-Patient Therapist


Ny Ny is a recent graudate from Johnson C. Smith University Master's of Social Work Program. She completed her student clinical experience at Harmony Health for the past year. She provides services to youth, adolescents and young adults. She has worked in group homes, school systems and community-based agencies. She has experience working with youth from ages 5-18, and college students. She has experience in assessments, individual behavioral intervention, social skill development, mentoring, teaching independent living skills, case management, resource development skills and connecting families to needed resources. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, shopping and laughing. Ny joined the Harmony Health team as permanent staff upon graduation and will be taking clients Mid June. 


Mary "ML" Stemkowski, LCSWA

Out- Patient Therapist

ML is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate. She graduated with her Masters in Social Work from Winthrop University. ML has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. She has experience in assessments, intake, case management, individual and family therapy within community and out patient settings. She has experience in Family Centered Treatment. She integrates a Dialectical Behavioral Therapy [DBT] approach incorporating movement, art, breath work, meditation, and mindfulness into her sessions to help connect the mind and body.  She is almost done with her 200 hour- Yoga Teacher Training course and is excited to continue her training with a focus on trauma in the body. ML enjoys being out in nature with her dog, yoga, traveling, and making pottery when she is not working. 

Latonya Stackhouse, LCSWA
Out-Patient Therapist

"Stackhouse" as she prefers to be called, is a LIcensed Clinical Social Worker Associate. She gratuated from Johnson C Smith Univerisity with her Master's in Social Work. She enjoys working with teenagers and adults ages 16 and older. Stackhouse uses a solution-focused, strengths-based approach, and believes that all people have the capacity to create and sustain positive change within themselves. She believes compassion,  client-centered, and meeting families where they are is key to a successful therapeutic relationship.  She strives to help families regain a positive quality of life, as well as assist rebuilding piecing to their puzzle. Through assessment, individual and group work, she uses different treatment modalities that are trauma informed and evidenced based. Stackhouse enjoys spending time with family, traveling and reading. 

Franchesca "Fran" Vazquez Suarez/ LCSWA
Out-Patient Therapist- Spanish Bilingual

Mrs. Vazquez Suarez is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate. She is a recent graduate from Johnson C. Smith University. She has experience in Mental Health Targeted Case Management, School Social Work, Administrative, and Individual therapy. working with children 5 yrs and older, teenagers and adults, providing family and individual services. She enjoys serving others, providing guidance or linkage to needed services, Ms. Vazquez Suarez loves assisting others to become self-sufficient and doesn’t believe in codependency. She believes in the ideal that "to every problem there is a solution" which encourages and influences her clinical approach to be person centered and solution focused. She prefers to teach "how to fish, and not only feeding them for a day".  She is always willing to learn about those she serves, rather than showing up as the expert. She enjoys quality time with family and friends in peaceful and relaxing outings.

Jeri Grier Carter, MA

Marraige & Family Clinical Intern


Ms. Carter will be serving our Community Connections Program as a Graduate Level Intern Clinician. She is a Navy Veteran serving for 12 years. She graduated from Colorado Techical Unviersity with her Masters in Health Care Managment. She is currently working on her Masters's degree in Marriage, Couples, Family Therapy with a minor in addictions at Walden University. She enjoys working with children, adults and families and is excited to find her speciality along the way. She has experience in Psychoeducation, Public Health Education, Career Counseling, Assessments and Individual Therapy and will be gaining experience in group work soon.

She enjoys and loves sitting on the beach, at a park or in her home with my blanket and a good book. 

She is accepting Individual, Family and Coupl'es clients with limited availability.


Breeana " Bree" White, BSW

Social Work Clinical Intern

aMs. White will be serving our Community Connections Program is our Graduate Level Clinical Intern. She is currently working on her Master's of Social Work at Winthrop Univesity. She received her Bachelors in Social Work [BSW] from UNC at Greensboro. She gained her experience from several internships including working as an OB/GYN Social Work Intern and Interpersonal Violence Outreach Coordinator. Bree has had several trainings in integrative and interprofessional health care and was previously a High School Health Teacher before interning at Harmony Health. Bree has a passion for all things mental, sexual, physical, and spiritual health and wellbeing. She also has a passion for all things social justice related. She loves working with teens and young adults. She has experience with Assessment, Individual and Group Therapy. Bree approaches her clients from a strengths-based perspective. Bree loves to utilize mindfulness and arts and crafts in her approach to overall wellness. Bree will be accepting Clients in through Community Connections Program by October 1st, 2021 with limited availability.

Walter Boyd, Jr., CH, LMBT

Massage Therapist, Past Life Regressions Facilitator

Walter, the owner of Spirit N Body, partnered with Harmony Health to bring healing arts to our family. A native of NC, he has lived in Charlotte for over 18 years. He graduated from the “The Whole You School of Massage and Bodywork” in 2008 and is a Nationally Certified Massage and Bodywork Therapist (NC# 8059). Walter’s modalities of proficiency are Swedish/Relaxation, Deep Tissue, Hot Stone and Thai Yoga Massage amongst others. Walter brings over 11 years of experience in clinical and spa work to help clients achieve their full potential. His philosophy of healing is that the whole individual must be taken into account. He believes that in order to live a more "Abundant", "Happy" and "Purposeful" life there must be a harmonious balance. The Body, the Mind, and Spirit must be addressed for one's Chi (Life Force) to flow efficiently.


Sandra Maldonado

Reiki Master and Crystal Healer


Ms. Sandra "San" Maldonado is the owner of Crystals and Things. She decided to join the Harmony Health Family, sharing her passion in the healing arts and partnering in our trauma work offering a holistic experience. She is a Certified Reiki Master and Certified Crystal Healer providing unconditional compassion to all who seek it.  She completed her training The International Center for Reiki Training at the Master Level of Usui/Holy Fire Reiki Ryoho I, II and III degrees.  She has worked in the Energy Work with children, adolescents, and adults.  Ms. Maldonado’s experience in this field includes, but is not limited to working primarily with individuals coping with anxiety, stress, and depression.

Sandra thrives on being a service to others and aiding their journey to inner health and spiritual transformation.  She is dedicated to helping heal your mind, body and soul utilizing compassionate affirmations, channeling Reiki energy and the healing properties from beautiful crystals.

Office Manager, Intake Coordinator


Ms. Kathy is the heartbeat of the Harmony Health Family. Most likely, you will be working with her often to get the healing process going. She joins the Harmony Health family with years of experience in customer service, administrative functioning, admission and working in other medical facilities. She helps to keep everyone in order and ensures that the office environment is in harmony with our mission, values and philosophy. Oh and of course Cleanliness! That is her BEST SKILL, Sanitation! 


MyAsia "Lil Momma" Jarrett

Billing Specialist

MyAsia currently attends Appalachian State University,majoring in Public Administration and minoring in Non Profit Organizations. She comes to Harmony Health with a background in customer service and supervisory experience. She works hard on resolving insurance claims issues, ensuring family members accounts are accurate and assists with billing questions and concerns. She enjoys relaxing, hanging with friends. She is looking forward to graduating college.
