Harmony Health, PLLC Therapeutic Services [Harmony Health] is a behavioral health practice created to improve the mental health and overall well-being of those served. Harmony Health, PLLC Therapeutic Services’ mission is “To improve the quality of life for families through a holistic approach in mental and emotional wellness”.

Harmony Health Therapeutic Services’ philosophy is to recognize the client and natural supports as the experts. Our clinicians are professionals and serve as a guide and resource for the family as we partner on your healing journey. Harmony Health is both trauma-informed and healing centered. We believe in advocating for those we serve. Our perception is that families are not broken but are missing pieces to their puzzle. Harmony Health’s goal is to help them put the pieces back together again.  Our agency is both Trauma Focused and Healing Centered. We aim to disrupt Oppression and the Stigma of Mental Health and Wellness by delivering services through a Social Justice, Resiliency and Collective Framework. This means that we operate from the perspective that Healing doesn't happen in Isolation, It happens within Community. So you don't just choose a therapist, you choose a family! Harmony Health’s staff is trained in the agency’s trauma informed treatment model, practices, philosophy, confidentiality policies. At Harmony Health, the culture is client centered. Our focus is on psycho-education as well as treatment, support and connecting to needed resources.

Jasmine "Jazzy Poo, Lil Bit" Scott, LCMHC, LCASA

Clinical Director

Out-Patient Therapist

 

Ms. Scott is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist Associate. She completed her education at Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH. She is currently working on her PHD on Clinicaly Supervision and Education. She serves Harmony Health by providing Clinical Insight, Guidance, Supervision and Operation/Compliance in addition to seeing a limited number of clients. Ms. Scott utilizes an Eclectic Humanistic Approach which is a person-centered, strength’s based approach. She has over 8 years of experience in the Mental Health field working with children, adolescents, adults and families in Community, School Based, Girls Residential Treatment Centers and Outpatient Therapy settings. Ms. Scott is EMDR Trained. She also has experience working clients who are survivors of Human Trafficking, trauma, abuse and domestic violence. Her experience in the clinical field includes but is not limited to Assessment, Crisis Intervention and de-escalation, Case management Trauma Informed Care, Individual, Group, Family and Substance Abuse Counseling. She also has experience utilizing Mindfulness and Guided Meditation. Ms. Scott loves working with children, adolescents and adults and especially enjoys helping client’s build their self-esteem, love for self and using interventions to empower clients. She works often with Mood Disorders, Life Transitions, Depression, Anxiety and Women's Issues. She sees a limited number of clients.

Sharisse "Reesie Cup" McGill, LCSWA

Mrs. McGill is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate.  She completed her Master’s of Social Work at Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, TX.  She serves Harmony Health in New Hire Orientation, Credentialing, and Intern Supervision in addition to seeing a limited number of clients.  Mrs. McGill utilizes an eclectic, humanistic approach which aligns with the Harmony Health’s philosophy recognizing the client and natural supports as the expert.  Reesie is Trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy [TFCBT] and is a Certified Triple P Parenting Provider. She is a certified Gried Counselor. She works with women, children, and families encountering trauma, domestic violence, and other mental health conditions.  Her experience includes assessment, treatment planning, individual therapy, group therapy, crisis intervention, grief, case management, and trauma informed care. 

Mrs. McGill has a strong passion for guiding others through healing process.  She has a natural charm that instantly allows others to feel “safe”.  She loves spending time with her large family, baking, reading, and any activity that allows her to bask in nature’s glory with her bare feet on the earth. She sees a limited number of clients.

Monayzia "Mo" Taylor, LCSWA

Community Connections Program Coordinator

Out-Patient Therapist

Mo graduated with her Masters in Social Work from Johnson C. Smith University. She  serves Harmony Health in acquiring quality counseling interns to serve our Community Connections Program as well as establishing and maintaining Community Partnerships and Initiatives. Mo sees a limited number of clients. She serves children and young adults as an outpatient therapist. Mo is a certified Triple P Parenting Provider and is trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy [TFCBT]. She has experience in working with youth and young adults from ages 5 to 30. Ms. Taylor’s experience includes community outreach, intake, assessments, case management, individual and group therapy. Ms. Taylor’s integrated theoretical approaches are Person-Center and Strength Based. Ms. Taylor believes that no individual is the same therefore they should not be treated like so; rather each person has their own strengths that can be used to guide them towards great health and well-being. Ms. Taylor enjoys reading, music and relaxing when she’s not working. She sees a limited number of clients.

Ty'kei [Ty] Spinks, LCMHCA

Out-Patient Therapist

 

A Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate, Ty’Kei graduated in with his Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate. He has over 4 years working with individuals and families. His experience includes: Mental Health, Domestic Violence, Case Management, Advocacy, Gender Equality, Sexual Trauma Support, and Mentoring. His clinical experience includes: Assessment, Crisis Intervention, Individual Therapy, Group Therapy, working with children and young adults.
Ty’Kei uses a Person-Centered approach that incorporates strength building, increasing self-awareness, promoting self-enlightenment, and building healthy relationships. He believes that each individual is uniquely different. He is an advocate for mental health as well as racial equality, gender equality, and eliminating the mental health stigmas in the Black community. Ty'Kei enjoys addressing these community issues through his weekly Podcast.

Obasi Amare, LCMHCA

Clinical Supervisor

Obasi is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate and a Nationally Certified Counselor. He received his Bachelor's degree in Sociology at North Carolina A&T State University and received his Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at UNC Pembroke. Obasi serves Harmony Health as a Supervisor providing Staff with Clinical insight, Training and guidance in addition to seeing a limited number of clients. He utilizes an Eclectic African centered humanistic approach which involves placing emphasis on harmony, balance, and authenticity. He has over 5 years of experience in the Mental Health field working with children, adolescents, and families in Outpatient and School Based settings. His experience in the Mental Health field includes individual, group, family and substance abuse counseling. Obasi also has experience using Mindfulness and Guided Meditation for fostering internal peace. He enjoys working with adolescents and adults in facilitating an enhanced sense of self-efficacy. He works with Stress Management, Depression, Culture Specific issues, Oppositional Defiance Disorder, and Anxiety. He sees a limited number of clients.

Unique [Nique Nique] Simpson, LCSWA

Unique is an Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate. She obtained her MSW at Johnson C. Smith University. Unique has experience working with children, young adults, and older adults between the ages of 5 and 60. She has worked with people who are homeless. Unique has experience in assessments, individual counseling, adotoption, resource development and case management. Her theoretical approaches include Person In Environment, Strengths Based, and Cognitive Behavioral Theory. She is trained in Integrative Treatment of Complex Trauma for Adolescents (ITCT-A) therapy and is a certified Triple P Parenting Provider. She believes many have experienced some level of trauma that creates a domino effect which impacts logical thinking and decision making skills. Unique enjoys helping those find the strength and power within themselves to attain full capacity within their growth and success in their own lives. She believes all are born with the ability to be leaders in life; yet, it’s important to learn to be effective and positive leaders within self first, to make an impact in the world. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, and being out in nature.

Mary "ML" Stemkowski, LCSWA

Out- Patient Therapist

ML is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate. She graduated with her Masters in Social Work from Winthrop University. ML has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. She has experience in assessments, intake, case management, individual and family therapy within community and out patient settings. She has experience in Family Centered Treatment. She integrates a Dialectical Behavioral Therapy [DBT] approach incorporating movement, art, breath work, meditation, and mindfulness into her sessions to help connect the mind and body.  She is almost done with her 200 hour- Yoga Teacher Training course and is excited to continue her training with a focus on trauma in the body. ML enjoys being out in nature with her dog, yoga, traveling, and making pottery when she is not working. 

Latonya Stackhouse, LCSWA
Out-Patient Therapist

"Stackhouse" as she prefers to be called, is a LIcensed Clinical Social Worker Associate. She gratuated from Johnson C Smith Univerisity with her Master's in Social Work. She enjoys working with teenagers and adults ages 16 and older. Stackhouse uses a solution-focused, strengths-based approach, and believes that all people have the capacity to create and sustain positive change within themselves. She believes compassion,  client-centered, and meeting families where they are is key to a successful therapeutic relationship.  She strives to help families regain a positive quality of life, as well as assist rebuilding piecing to their puzzle. Through assessment, individual and group work, she uses different treatment modalities that are trauma informed and evidenced based. Stackhouse enjoys spending time with family, traveling and reading. She is not accepting clients at this time.

 

Deja Stover, LCSWA

Deja is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate with the North Carolina Social Work Licensing Board. She recently graduated with her Master of Social Work from Howard University. Deja is also a graduate of UNC Charlotte where she earned her Bachelor of Social Work and her BA in Sociology. Deja's experience includes Assessment, Individual therapy and group therapy, mentoring, and office administration. She enjoys working with adolescents and young adults. Deja has utilized a person-centered approach to therapy and likes to use a strengths perspective when working with clients to help them realize that they have the power to achieve their goals and make the changes they desire. Deja also believes that building a strong and mutual relationship between client and clinician is ideal for fostering transparency that allows the client to feel safe. Deja enjoys spending time with her pit bull mix, Mars, and her partner reading, painting, and exploring the Charlotte area.

Marcus Gaddy, LCSWA
Out-Patient Therapist
 

Marcus J. Gaddy is an NC Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate who provides therapeutic services for adolescents and adults. Marcus received his Bachelors of Social Work from University of North Carolina Charlotte, and received his Master’s of Social Work from Johnson C. Smith University. Marcus has experience working in enhanced services such as intensive in-home therapy, community support services, outpatient adult and adolescent psychotherapy. Marcus calls himself  "The John Madden of Therapy '' due his passion for providing services for student, collegiate and professional athletes who are impacted by mental health and substance abuse issues; as he needed support to work through academic, social and emotional barriers as a former student athlete. Marcus has received training in Eco-Systemic Family Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.  Marcus believes that a healthy therapeutic alliance is developed when the client is in the “driver seat” during their therapeutic journey. Marcus enjoys spending time with his family, listening to Hip Hop music, and attending local sporting events.

Sabrina Murchison, LCSWA

Sabrina is an NC Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate. She obtained her Master of Social Work at University of North Carolina at Pembroke. She has served the adolescent population ages 5 to 21 for 10 years focusing on achievable goals, interventions, and providing resources within the community. Her experience includes assessment, treatment planning, individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, grief, case management, and trauma informed care. She believes her purpose is to work with adolescents helping them to implement healthy changes  with assistance from family and their natural support systems.  Sabrina has the ability to form great therapeutic relationships with families. She enjoys reading, meditation, and journaling in her spare time.  

Jade Williams, LCSWA

Jade is an NC Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate She graduated from Johnson C. Smith University with her Master in Social Work and received her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Livingstone College. Jade has experience with crisis intervention, assessments, group therapy, case management, mental health and substance abuse counseling. She has a background working with adults and family units. Jade has also worked with people who are experiencing homelessness and have barriers accessing care. She uses a person-centered approach and focuses on personalized care.  Jade meets clients where they are and has the proven ability to establish excellent therapeutic relationships. She believes that all people have strengths and prompts self-love. Jade enjoys watching documentaries, spending time with her family, shopping and traveling.
Aliceia "Lece" Duff

Lece is an NC Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate. Lece graduated with her Master in Social Work from Johnson C. Smith University and has a Bachelor degree in Psychology from Saint Augustine's University. She has over six years of experience working with individuals and families involving mental health and substance abuse. Lece enjoys advocating for and educating individuals on how to advocate for themselves through assertive communication. Her clinical experience includes Individual Therapy, Assessment, Crisis Intervention, Group Therapy, substance use treatment, working with children, young adults, and adults. Lece enjoys utilizing CBT and applies a strength based approach. Lece focuses on establishing close working relationships with individuals and families with the goal of establishing trust. She enjoys White Water Rafting, traveling with her friends, going to the movies and going to the dog park with her two dogs Hendrix and Brixx! Lece is extremely excited to partner with you to achieve your goals at Harmony Health Therapeutic Services!

Kristen Perry, MA

Counseling Clinical Intern

Kristen has her BS Biology, MA Human Services. Kristen is currently working towards her Master’s in Professional Counseling at Liberty University. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology at Florida A & M University. Kristen serves Harmony Health's Community Connections Program by providing case management, individual therapy and co-facilitating group therapy. Her current professional career is in healthcare which allows her to work with clients from various backgrounds and to provide a level of comfort and understanding in the field of Ophthalmology. In her prospective career as a Professional Counselor, she would like to work with couples, military families, and veterans of the armed forces. This passion stems from being a military spouse and from experiencing some of the challenges that the military community may face. She has been in the medical and helping professions for 17 years and is very much looking forward to embarking on a new career journey. In her free time she loves to travel, spend time with family, visit nature parks and museums, and watch movies.

Chacola Smith, BS

Social Work Clinical Intern

Chacola currently attends Walden University and is working towards her Master of Social Work degree. Chacola serves Harmony Health's Community Connections Program by providing case management support, co-facilitating groups and community outreach. Over the past 13 years Chacola has held various positions throughout the human service field such as student support specialist, permanency planning social worker, residential manager, intensive in-home team member and foster parent. From those positions, Chacola brings experience in safety planning, assessments, needs assessment, advocacy, understanding of family dynamics and meeting people where they are. Chacola is looking forward to this new journey with Harmony Health and learning and practicing as much as possible before pursuing licensure. During her free time, Chacola enjoys shopping, traveling, trying new restaurants, and spending time with family and friend

Sandra [San] Maldonado, TTS

Reiki Master and Crystal Healer, Tobacco Treatment Specialist

 

Ms. Sandra "San" Maldonado is the owner of Crystals and Thingz and decided to join the Harmony Health Family, sharing her passion in the healing arts and partnering in our trauma work offering a holistic experience. She is a Certified Tobacco Treatment Specialist providing Tobacco Recovery Services in English and Spanish. She is a Certified Reiki Master and Certified Crystal Healer providing unconditional compassion to all who seek it.  She completed her training The International Center for Reiki Training at the Master Level of Usui/Holy Fire Reiki Ryoho I, II and III degrees.  She has worked in the Energy Work with children, adolescents, and adults.  Ms. Maldonado’s experience in this field includes, but is not limited to working primarily with individuals coping with anxiety, stress, and depression.

Sandra thrives on being a service to others and aiding their journey to inner health and spiritual transformation.  She is dedicated to helping heal your mind, body and soul utilizing compassionate affirmations, channeling Reiki energy and the healing properties from beautiful crystals.

Alexis "Lex" Hall, BS

MSW Intern, Yoga, Dance, Meditation Instructor and Flexibility Trainer

 

Lex joins Harmony Health as an Intern And FT Wellness Provider. Alexis Hall is currently a Masters of Social Work at Winthrop University. She received her Bachelor's degree at UNC Chapel Hill for Athletic Training and Psychology. Alexis received a Fellowship through Harmony Health, working with the Child Adolescent and Family Behavioral Health Fellowship through the Foundation for Health Leadership. She will utilize these skills by serving Adolescent Clients through the Community Connections Program. 

As a Wellness provider, Alexis will provide additional wellness services. She is a Reiki II practitioner, a 200 hour Certified Yoga Instructor, and Dance Instructor. She plans to utilize these holistic healing methods in her therapeutic work with clients. Alexis has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. She is the founder and owner of Move to Heal, LLC, which is a holistic wellness organization that provides chakra guided yoga flows, meditations, and wellness tips for the community. She enjoys time with friends and family, and dancing in competitions. She is accepting limited Adolescent Community Connection youth clients for Mental Health and is open for HH Wellness clients at this time.

Kathy "Ms. Kit Kat, Pink" Rhyne

Office Manager

 

Ms. Kathy is the heartbeat of the Harmony Health Family. Most likely, you will be working with her often to get the healing process going. She joins the Harmony Health family with years of experience in customer service, administrative functioning, admission and working in other medical facilities. She helps to keep everyone in order and ensures that the office environment is in harmony with our mission, values and philosophy. Oh and of course Cleanliness! That is her BEST SKILL, Sanitation!

Kiauntay [Key] Craig, BSW

Intake Coordinator

 

Kiauntay has joined Harmony Health as our Intake Coordinator. She is a graduate from City University of New York (CUNY) at Lehman College where she received a Bachelors of Social Work (BSW). Kiauntay joins our family with working experience as a Case Manager, Advocasy, Resource Development by providing services to the homeless, HIV/AIDS, substance use, and mental health populations. She enjoys laughing, listening to music, reading, creating and spending quality time with her family and friends.

Marsha Laguerre, MS

Business Manager

 

Mrs. Laguerre has an MBA in Accounting from Rutgers University. She has over 15 years of experience working as an Accountant and Auditor at various accounting firms and in the private industry. Her experience includes internal audit for financial institutions, nonprofit audit and 401k plan audits. She manages general accounting and other business operations for the Harmony Health Family; helping to keep our business practices healthy and compliant. Marsha enjoys traveling to different states and countries; exposing herself to different experiences. Marsha is also an avid reader, who enjoys reading fiction novels.

Will Jasper, BS

Billing Specialist

Bro Will is a graduate of Georgia State University (BS) and has been working in the mental health field since 2003. He has experience in direct services, case management, intensive services for adults, worked in group homes for both child/adolescents and adults. He has served as a claims specialist and Quality Management Director. As HH's Billing Specialist, he will be charged with working with insurance companies and other 3rd party payers to ensure claims and bills are appropriately submitted, paid; he will also help to research when issues arise. Will loves to spend time with his family, travel and read books related to African History and African Thought.

Isis "Momma Bey" Bey, LCSW, CCTP II

Founder, Owner, Trainer, Consultant

 

Ms. Bey is the founder and owner of Harmony Health Therapeutic Services and an Adjunct Professor with multiple Universities. Ms. Bey is also an NC Supervisor for Clinical Social Workers. She is a trainer and consultant. Ms. Bey completed her Graduate education at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She has over 25 years' experience working with children and families and training. She is Nationally Certified as an Advanced Level Complex Trauma Clinician, Gang Specialist, Triple P Parent Provider.
Her experience in the clinical field includes but is not limited to Crisis Intervention, Assessment, Individual, Groups and Couples Counseling, and Trauma. She also has practice experience using Mindfulness, Somatic Experience, Spiritual Social Work, African Drumming and Dance as a therapeutic tool. Her training/consulting experience includes Advocacy, Ethics, Implicit Bias, Systematic Disparities, Anti-Racism, Group Therapy, Child Welfare, Parent Education, Criminal Justice, Gang Intervention, Human Trafficking, Domestic and Teen Dating Violence. Ms. Bey has taught courses that include Group Therapy Advanced Practice, Human Behavior in the Social Environment, Interpersonal Skills, Trauma and Social Work Practice, Generalist Social Work Practice, Social Work Ethics, Advanced Level Practice, Field Instruction and more.
Ms. Bey offers treatment, training and supervision through an Eclectic Humanistic Social Justice Approach, which is a person-centered, strengths-based, anti-racist and resilience-based approach. The belief is that the participant is the expert of his or her life experiences. Ms. Bey is a partner that guides and coaches in the treatment or learning process, offering tools, feedback, resources, experiential learning, skills and techniques to assist the individual in the healing or learning process, and uses treatment modalities that are trauma-informed, anti-racist, healing centered and evidence- based. Momma Bey does not accept clients, she provides training, consulting, supervision and program development.
